In order to optimize the trading experience of users, from 10:00 on 09.09.2022 (UTC), Nami officially launched 2 new features for trading Nami Futures and ONUS Futures: Add Volume and Positions Partially Close.

Update: Add Volume function will be put under maintenance for upgrade from 03:00 September 27, 2022 (UTC). The maintenance expected to last for 7 days.

  1. Add Volume to Position

Adding Volume to a position can be understood as a form of DCA (price average) where the current Price is higher or lower than the previously recorded Open Price, thereby changing the position parameters like Margin, Volume, Leverage, Open Price and Liquidation Price.

The feature is useful for the following situations:

  • When a position is about to be liquidated, the feature "Add Volume" will help average the Open order price thereby changing the liquidation price, prolonging the order retention time.
  • When the position is in profit, the user identifies a good continuation of the trend so using “Add Volume” to increase the chances of Profit even more.

2. Position Partial Closing

Partial closing of an order is a form of closing the Volume from an opened Buy/Sell position. This can be interpreted as a Take Profit or Stop Loss form part of the position.

Here are the use cases:

  • When the order has made a profit and the positive trend continues, the user wants to close a part of the position to withdraw the margin capital and reap the profit of the remaining position.
  • When the order is Losing and the negative trend continues, the user cuts a partial loss to minimize the loss. Depending on the user's use, the amount of margin withdrawn from the position from this Partial Close operation can be used to place new orders, increase the volume of transactions to average the price.
