Update phone numbers verification process

Dear Nami's community,


To optimize user experience when verifying accounts and adding or changing phone numbers for trading accounts, Nami Exchange announces the update of the process for adding and changing phone numbers from 2024.08.07 03:00 (UTC).

In this update, users can flexibly add and verify phone numbers or proactively change their phone numbers.

Notice: Currently, Nami Exchange only applies the process of adding and verifying phone numbers to Vietnamese users. Foreign users who perform KYC for their accounts will skip this step.

Users can enter phone numbers in one of the following two formats:

  • 9-digit format:
    • 3xx xxx xxx
    • 5xx xxx xxx
    • 7xx xxx xxx
    • 8xx xxx xxx
    • 9xx xxx xxx
  • 10-digit format:
    • 03x xxx xxxx
    • 05x xxx xxxx
    • 07x xxx xxxx
    • 08x xxx xxxx
    • 09x xxx xxxx

How to add new phone number:

For users who have not verified account (KYC):

Users who have not completed KYC can add a phone number as follows:


Step 1: Access the "Add Phone Number" interface

Users who have not completed KYC can access the "Add Phone Number" interface by two methods: 

Method 1: Access during the KYC process

  • On the "My Profile" interface, select "KYC Now" to access the "Account Verification" interface.
  • Select "Start".
  • In the user information section, select "Vietnam" in the nationality section and enter the corresponding information, then select "Next" to access the "Add Phone Number" interface.

Method 2: Access from “My Profile” interface

  • In the “My Profile” interface, select "Add" or the "+" icon in the "Phone number" section to access the "Add Phone Number" interface.

Step 2: Add the phone number on the "Add Phone Number" interface

  • Enter the phone number, then select "Send Verification Code".
  • Enter the verification code and select "Confirm".

Step 3: Check the successful addition of the phone number on the “My Profile” interface.


For users who have verified their accounts (KYC) but do not have a phone number:

Step 1: Access the "Add Phone Number" interface

Users who have completed KYC but do not have a phone number can access the "Add Phone Number" interface by two methods: 

Method 1: Access from “My Profile” interface

  • In the “My Profile” interface, select "Add" or the "+" icon in the "Phone number" section to access the "Add Phone Number" interface.

Method 2: Access during the deposit/withdrawal process via Partner

  • Users create a deposit/withdrawal order via Partner 
  • After creating the deposit/withdrawal order, users will be directed to the "Add Phone Number" interface.

Step 2: Add the phone number on the "Add Phone Number" interface

  • Enter the phone number, then select "Send Verification Code".
  • Enter the verification code and select "Next".

Step 3: Check the successful addition of the phone number on the “My Profile” interface.


How to change phone number

Users can change phone numbers for the first time after successfully adding a new phone number. Subsequent changes must be at least 30 days apart.

  • Step 1: Access the "My Profile" interface and select the phone number edit icon
  • Step 2: Verify the old phone number, enter the verification code, and select "Confirm"
  • Step 3: Enter the new phone number and verify the new phone number
  • Step 4: Check the successful change of the new phone number on the "My Profile" interface

Notice:

  • User can only change phone number once every 30 days
  • After successfully entering the old phone number verification code, users have 15 minutes to enter and verify the new phone number. If more than 15 minutes pass, users need to re-verify the old phone number to continue.
  • In emergency cases such as losing a phone or SIM card, users should contact the support team via the "Chat with Support" or email [email protected] for immediate assistance in changing the phone number.
